WWE Betting on NetBet Sport

WWE is widely regarded as the pinnacle of professional wrestling. It is the sport’s largest and most successful promotion, with massive shows hosted in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and beyond.

As a result of its seemingly ever-growing popularity, it is no surprise that there are WWE betting opportunities in the UK with great odds on offer. You can enjoy betting on the winner of the biggest contests, including those at WrestleMania and Money In The Bank. Here is NetBet’s complete guide to WWE betting.

History of WWE

The history of WWE dates back to the 1950s, when it was initially founded as the Capitol Wrestling Corporation (CWC). In 1963, the name was changed to the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) and was then shortened to World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1979.

The acronym WWF was in place until 2002, the year it was finally altered to today’s name, WWE. In 2023, the company was taken over by Endeavor and merged into one parent company, known as TKO Group Holdings, with mixed martial arts promotion the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). However, while the two promotions are now connected, they continue to operate as separate entities and focus solely on their own sport.

Can you bet on WWE?

With the growth of WWE as a spectacle in the UK, WWE betting is growing ever more popular.

Betting on WWE with NetBet is simple. We offer great odds on the winner of big showdowns at pay-per-view shows, with fights in these blockbuster events priced up well beforehand to make things as simple as possible.

Wrestlers win the match by either making their opponent submit or holding them down to a count of three, although there are sometimes bouts where the rules are different.

So unlike in boxing or MMA, there will not be specific markets for method of victory, with WWE odds only focusing on the winner of the bout. Or in the case of the 30-man Royal Rumble, you can place a wager on the odds of the last man to be left standing in the ring.

All in all, it makes for an exciting betting experience, so if you fancy a particular wrestler to win a belt in front of a packed stadium, simply pick them (the odds will be next to their name on our website or app), place your bet and let the wrestling action unfold!
